Henauke (ヘナウケ) was a western Ainu chief from Setanai in Hokkaido (then known as Ezo).
Biography
Henauke is most famous for leading an Ainu uprising (Henauke's Revolt) in 1643 against the Japanese Matsumae clan, the only ruling clan in Ezo. His rebellion ended in May of that same year with terms of peace.
