Minokichi
Minokichi was a small, young creature that accompanied Hideyasu Yūki on his travel to defeat the Genma. He appears in Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams. He is a young member of the Mino Clan, and the son of Minogoro, the Mino Clan member who aided Samanosuke Akechi in acquiring the Bishamon Ocarina in Onimusha: Warlords. Following Stage 8, Minokichi acts as the Gate Keeper to the Dark Realm for the player.
Appearance
Minokichi resembles a small child with brown hair, with a large amount of it wrapped in a hair tie on the top. Unlike other Mino Clan members previously seen throughout the series who are wrapped in cocoons, Minokichi's body is tucked in a large green bag with light brown spiral symbols on it, with a large rope wrapped around his chest area, likely to keep him from falling out as he hangs. His hands are only seen emerging halfway from the bag in front of his face, and his bare feet are constantly poking out of the bag. The thread that he hangs from is tied to the end of the bag below (above) his feet. Multiple smaller bags of different colors hang from his larger bag, and a large radish is seen hanging from the top on his right side.
Abilities
Like the rest of the Mino Clan, Minokichi seems to be capable of a form of teleportation, though is not as proficient as previous Mino Clan members, as shown by his inability to warp anyone to a place that is filled with too much dark essence, while the thread of Minogoro proved to be strong enough to warp regardless. After Stage 8, he also gains the ability to warp the player to the Dark Realm. He also proves to be a reliable informant due to having access to the Mino Clan's information network, able to use the information to direct Soki to the nearest Genma Trees during the latter's time hunting and burning them.
After the party's first arrival at the Akechi Tomb, Minokichi proved to also be able to commune with the souls of the dead, speaking with and even recieving power from the late Mitsuhide Akechi. This gift allowed Minokichi to significantly magnify his ability to warp others, successfully teleporting the party from Nagoya Castle in Hizen to the Akechi Tomb almost instantly. However, this power proved almost fatal to him, and thus was only used as a last resort.
